will be active as SX5LA from Levitha island (GIOTA DKS-050, MIA MGD-019, WLOTA

06/05/2014: Miho, JJ2VLY and Yutaka, JQ2GYU will be active from Tinian Island

Mariana Islands, between 6-11th May, 2014 as NH0J (J-Tinian Radio Space Club).

May, 2014. Activity will be holiday style on the HF bands, using SSB and CW. QSL

07/05/2014: Dima, UR4MCK will be active as 5B/UR4MCK from the island of Cyprus
(AS-004, WLOTA 0051) on 7-14 May 2014. He will operate only CW near the QRP

07/05/2014: Look for Stan, EI6DX, to be active as FO/EI6DX from the island of
Bora Bora (OC-067, WLOTA 0430, Grid Loc. BH43), in the Leeward group of the
Society Islands of French Polynesia, from 7-18th May, 2014. QRV on 80-10 metre
CW and SSB, vacation style, using a K3 with ACOM 1000 and CrankIR vertical. QSL

07/05/2014: Anna, W6NN as V25N and Rich, KE1B as V25M will be active from the
island of Antigua (NA-100, WLOTA 1118) on 7-15th May, 2014. They will operate
CW, SSB and RTTY on 40-10 metres, with an emphasis on the WARC bands. QSL via

08/05/2014: Imam, YB4IR, plans to activate Singkep Island (IOTA OC-107), in the
Lingga Archipelago, Riau Islands Province in Indonesia, as YB4IR/5 between
8-13th May, 2014. QRV 40-10 metre SSB, CW and RTTY. QSL via ClobLog OQRS, LoTW

LOOKING AHEAD -

22/05/2014: Laci, HA0HW, will once again be active from Thassos Island Greece
(IOTA EU-174, GIOTA NAS-037, MIA MG-124, WLOTA LH-4186, WW Loc. KN20HS), as
SW8WW (ex-J48HW) between 22nd May and 3rd June 2014. He will operate mainly on
CW, with some SSB and RTTY, on the HF bands (usually on 40/30/20/17/12/10
metres) and on 6 metres. He will also particpate in the CQWW WPX CW Contest
(24-25 May) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. His rigs are usually a FT-840 and an
IC-706 (for 6m only). Antennas are monoband Gps and dipoles on fishing poles.

24/05/2014: Look for Champ, E21EIC, to be active as XW0YJY from Vientiane,
Laos, in the CQWW WPX CW Contest (24-25 May) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry, CQ

29/05/2014: Look for Jaakko OG1J, Kari OH3BJL, Keijo OH3HPV, Ari OH3KAV and
Veikko OH3LB to be active as ES0/OI3V from the island of Hiiumaa (EU-034, WLOTA
2017, WWFF ESFF-045), West Estonian archipelago, Hiiu County, Estonia, between

29/05/2014: Operators Michael K5NOT, Douglas W5BL and Larry W5LJW will be
operating from Aruba (SA-036, WLOTA 0033, Grid Loc. FK42) in a suitcase
vacapedition between 29 May and 4 June 2014. The group callsign should be P40DM.
Aruba likes each person to have an Aruba-based call sign in addition to the club
call (no reciprical agreement) so you may also hear P40TX (K5NOT), P40DL (W5BL)
and P40LW (K5RAU) on the island. QRV on 20-6 metres, with focus on 10m and 6m.

29/05/2014: Operators Eddy ON6EF, Jan ON6VJ and Raf ON5RZ will be active as
PA/OT1S from Terschelling Island (EU-038, WLOTA 0943, Grid Loc. JO23), West
Frisian Islands, from 29-31 May 2014. Plans are to be QRV on 80-6m (incl. WARC),

30/05/2014: The members of Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento - CR5CRE, will
be active on the 30th and 31st of May 2014 from Evoramonte Castel (WCA CT-00047,
DCFP C-047, DMHP EV-036 and DMP 0704), located in the Province of Evora. They
plan to work as special callsign CR5EM on all HF bands CW/SSB and Digital modes.

25/06/2014: John, W5JON, will once again be active as V47JA from Calypso Bay,
island of St. Kitts (NA-104, WW Loc. FK87PG) between 25th June and 6th August,
2014. QRV on 160-6m (incl. 60m), SSB. John will also participate in the, IARU HF
(12-13 July), CQWW VHF (19-20 July), and RSGB IOTA (26-27 July) Contests, SSB,
SOAB, is planned. Also XYL, Cathy (W5HAM) will occasionally operate as V47HAM.

24/07/2014: Yuri, N3QQ and possibly others will be QRV from Adak island
(NA-039, USi AK-008S, WLOTA 1258), 3rd South Central county, Alaska within the
time period of 24-31 July 2014 to coincide with the IOTA contest. If
weather/time permits a trip to Amchitka Island (NA-070, USi AK-043), 3rd South
Central county is planned. More details on this activity as the weeks progress.

25/07/2014: Bodo, DF8DX, will be active as IV3/DF8DX from Grado Island (EU-130,
IIA F001), between 25-29th July 2014. QRV on the HF bands using 100 Watts and
vertical antenna. His focus will be on the RSGB IOTA Contest (26-27 July). QSL

26/07/2014: Stockport Radio Society members Pete M1PTR, Bernard G3SHF, Carsten

25/10/2014: Rich, M5RIC, plans activity from Trabzon, Turkey, as TC7V (callsign
applied for) from 22-28 October 2014. QRV on the HF bands using SSB and RTTY,
including a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry in the CQWW DX SSB Contest

SPECIAL EVENTS -

02/05/2014: Members of IPA will be active as PG200KMAR between now and February
2015. See their rota for details: 1 May - 28 May; 26 June - 23 July; 21 August -
17 September; 17 October - 12 November; 11 December - 7 January 2015. The
occasion is the 200th anniversary of the Royal Military Constabulary. QRV on all
bands and modes. QSOs with PG200KMAR will also count two points towards the
