05/07/2014: Laurent, F8BBL, will be active holiday style as TK14CC from the

80-6 metres. He also plans to be QRV on 6m as TK14CC/p from grid locator

05/07/2014: A German team is on the way to Omaruru, Namibia, to support
V55HQ (NARL) in the IARU HF World Championship (12-13 July). Martin, V51W,
is the host and team leader, other team members are Gunter V51WH, Gerd
V51GB, Werner V51JP, Andrew V51YJ and Klaus V51L. From the 5th of July and
until the 15th of July 2014 the following guest-OPs will be QRV under their
own V5 calls QRV in all bands and modes - CW: Gerd V5/DJ5IW, Norbert

08/07/2014: Michael, WU2D, is due to arrive on the island of San Felix
(SA-013, DICE ICE-006, WLOTA 0103) on 8-13th July 2014 to operate as

08/07/2014: Joel, K2QBV, plans activity as E51QBV from Avarua, on the
northern side of Rarotonga Island (OC-013), South Cook Islands, between 8-21
July 2014. This is not a true DXpedition but a vacation for Joel's wife and
himself while still enjoying amateur radio and visiting friends along the
way. Equipment used on South Cook will be a Yaesu 756 Pro, Ameriton AL1200,
Tennadyne T7 log or a KLM 4 element 20. The tower is at 70 ft. QSL via

09/07/2014: Gayle K6GO (ZF2GO), Mike NA6MB (ZF2NA) and Jim K6ZH (ZF2ZH)
will be active from Grand Cayman Island (NA-016, WLOTA 1042) on 9-13 July
2014. They will operate SSB, CW and possibly digital modes on the HF bands

10/07/2014: Seppo, OH1VR will again be active from Hamilton Parish, island
of Bermuda (NA-005, WLOTA 0201) as OH1VR/VP9 between 10-13 July 2014. QRV on

11/07/2014: Lali, VE3NE, tells ICPO: "I will be in Jamaica for the IARU HF
Championship Contest using the usual 6Y3M call. Activity will once again be
from the QTH of Josh, 6Y5WJ, located near Malvern, St. Elizabeth Parish,
County of Cornwall, Jamaica (NA-097, WLOTA 3282, WW Loc. FK17DV), from
11-14th July 2014. This time my wife, Agnes (ex: HG9MAT) joins me and we
will be in Multi-Single category. She is a bit rusty but we are practicing
using VE3NEA's pile up trainer to bring her speed up. Go easy on her
though...:-) We are not going to win but I am very excited becaus this is
the first time we are enetring into a contest as a team." QRV outside of the

12/07/2014: The Federacion de Radioaficionados de Cuba (FRC) will be active
as a Headquarter entry with the callsign T49C, during next IARU Championship
(12-13 July). Setup includes 10 different stations in eight cities from
western to eastern side of the island. Most of them will be using low power
and wire antennas. Operators include: Juan CO2JD/CO2RQ 160m/10m CW from
Habana; Lazaro CO2WL 160m/80m SSB from Habana; Matos CO3IT 80m CW from Santa

12/07/2014: The Radio Society of Bermuda (RSB) will be activated as VP9HQ
in the 2014 IARU HF Championship Contest (12-13 July) as HQ station.
Operators will be Seppo OH1VR, Oliver W6NV and Denny KX7M. VP9HQ will be

17/07/2014: Look for Simon, M0SIY, to be active as MM0SIY/p from the Isle

17-19th July 2014. Stopping at Callanish standing stones (WWFF GMFF-068),
this will be a holiday type activation with activity on 40-10 metre SSB. QSL

20/07/2014: Look for Jens, DL2RMM, to be active as K2RMM/4 from Sanibel
Island (NA-069, USi FL-021S, WLOTA 2044), Lee County, Florida, between 20th
July and 1st August 2014. Activity will include a Single-Op/Low-Power/12hr
entry in the RSGB IOTA Contest. Outside the contest Jens will be QRV on the

24/07/2014: Joe, K5KUA, will once again be active as K5KUA/5 from Galveston

24/10/2014: UPDATE - Look for Tevfik, TA1HZ, to be active as T88H (Not T88TC
as previously announce) in the CQWW DX SSB Contest (25-26 October) from the
Palau Rental Shack, West Plaza Coral Reef Hotel, Koror Island, Palau
(OC-009), as a Single-Op entry from CQ zone 27. Tevfik also plans to be QRV
on the HF bands, holiday style, for a few days after the contest for those

SPECIAL EVENTS -
04/07/2014: The special event station OE5XXM (ADL 553) is now active on all
bands and modes from the XXXth International Hamradio Meeting in Gosau,
Austria, until 6th July 2014. QSL via OE2IKN. [DX Newsletter]
04/07/2014: A group of Amateur Radio operators from Atlantic Canada will
operate from Pouch Cove (WW Loc. GN37OS, Newfoundland (NA-027, CIsA NF001,
WLOTA 0345), from 4-12 July 2014 in a bid to complete a 2 meter
Trans-Atlantic QSO and claim the Brendan Trophy. The expedition will operate
on 144.155 MHz. It will run 750 watts into a 30 meter long rope yagi with a
gain of more than 23 dB over a dipole. The group will concentrate its
efforts on JT65B, a digital mode that offers greatly enhanced performance
over more conventional modes. It will have the capability to use other modes
including CW and SSB if conditions warrant however. The callsign used will
be VC1T. Members of the expedition include Fred VE1FA, Roger VE1SKY, Helen
VA1YL, Rich VA1CHP and Al VO1NO. The Brendan Trophy is a series of awards
offered by the Irish Radio Transmitters Society to the first Amateur Radio
operators to complete a 2 metre Trans-Atlantic QSO. Details on the
expedition can be found on the team's website (www.brendanquest.org/). Real
time information on operating modes and schedules will be posted during the
expedition on the team's web site, the ON4KST site and the G4CQM Shoutbox.

05/07/2014: Les Radioamateurs du Haut-Rhin-REF 68 will operate special
event callsign TM68TDF on 5-18 July 2014 for this year's Tour de France. QSL

05/07/2014: A Team from France and Belgium will be active as TM800B
(www.aran59.fr/bouvines-2014) on 5, 6 and 27 July 2014 to commemorate the
800th anniversary of the Battle of Bouvines. They will operate CW, SSB and

05/07/2014: LZ15EYAC operates during the 15th European Youth ARDF
Championship in Primorsko, Bulgaria, from 6-10th July 2014. The event is
hosted by the Bulgarian Federation of Radio Amateurs (BFRA) and the

09/07/2014: WR1TC will be the World Radiosport Team Championship's HQ
station located at the host hotel in Westborough, MA. It will be active on

HI, ISLA SAONA (NA-122) -
A team of 20 (featuring some of the world's most experienced CW DX
operators) will be active as HI2DX from Saona Island (NA-122, WLOTA 2304, WW
Loc. FK58PD), La Altagracia Province, Dominican Republic, at the end of the
year. They plan 24/7 activity for 5 days hoping to reach 100,000 QSOs in the
process. The island is a government protected nature reserve and is part of
East National Park [in Spanish Parque Nacional del Este] (WWFF HIFF-003).
